Konstantin Isaevich Rosenstein
Konstantin Isaevich Rosenstein was born in 1878 in Odessa. He graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineers in St. Petersburg in 1903. From 1906 to 1908, Rosenstein built three residential buildings in St. Petersburg. In 1908, he was commissioned by the city government to build a new residential complex on Bolshoi Prospekt on the Petrograd side. He hired architect A. J. Belogrud to design the facades of Rosenstein’s own houses, No. 75 and No. 77. During the Revolution, Rosenstein worked as an engineer to support the defense of Petrograd. In the 1930s, he planned the cities of Khibinogorsk and Podporozhye. He died in 1951 in Leningrad.
