Boris Rafailovich Rubanenko

Boris Rafailovich Rubanenko was born in 1910 in Samara. From 1927 to 1931, he studied at the Institute of Civil Engineers. Then, he entered the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. He studied there from 1932 to 1934. He moved to Moscow in 1943, after the blockade was lifted. In 1970, he began working as a professor at the Moscow Architectural Institute. Rubanenko’s specialty was mass housing construction. He acted as an architect and urban planner, and headed several city planning and development projects. Rubanenko died in 1985 in Moscow.
