Alexander Lvovich Lishnevsky
Alexander Lvovich Lishnevsky was born in 1868 in Kherson. He entered the Academy of Arts in 1888 and graduated in 1892. He won numerous medals for his work during his studies; in 1894, he received the title of Class Artist of the first degree. In the same year, Lishnevsky converted to Orthodoxy. He worked as a city architect in Elisavetgrad from 1895 to 1901. After 1901, he worked in St. Petersburg and designed several apartment buildings and the House of City Institutions. He died in Yaroslavl in 1942.
