Alexander Markovich Ginzburg
Alexander Markovich Ginzburg was born in 1876 in Slavyansk. In 1877, his family moved to Kharkov, where he attended gymnasium. Ginzburg graduated from Kharkov University with a degree in mathematics. He spent time traveling around Europe, familiarizing himself with the great works of world architecture and construction. After he completed his studies at the University of Berlin in 1899, he entered the Kharkov Institute of Technology. Ginzburg worked on a total of one hundred twenty buildings around Kharkov and in other cities. He died in 1949 in Kharkov.
